Ann
V. Picardo, MSSW, LCSW - Ann Picardo is the founder and inspiration for
Support Systers. Ms. Picardo is a graduate of Columbia University
and University of Tennessee School of Social Work. She has
been a psychotherapist in private practice for 15 years.
Prior to entering the field of social work and psychotherapy,
Ms. Picardo has had a diverse career in both international
business and the arts. She has played a key role in launching
and leading several international business ventures in the
arts.
Stephen
P. Kane - President and Chief Operating Officer.
Mr. Kane brings to Support Systers his general management, marketing
and business development leadership skills honed over a more than 20-year career in the financial services
and technology industries. He understands the fundamental
and complex challenges facing companies in the current economic
climate. In leading Support Systers on a day-to-day basis,
Mr. Kane draws from a unique and proven blend of strategy
development and execution, general management, marketplace
and business development skills honed at leading companies
such as Accenture, Sapient, PWI and Reuters. Mr. Kane is
a graduate of St. Johns University with a degree in
Business Management. Mr. Kane is responsible for the day-to-day
operations of the company and drives the sales and marketing
initiatives.
Kathleen
A. Kane, RN, BSN - Vice President, Nursing Operations
and Patient Care. Ms. Kane is responsible for field operations
management, which encompasses client screening, client-nurse
pairings, scheduling, reviewing client plans and supervising
the nurses. Ms. Kane has a diversified health care background
established over 25 years of direct nurse-patient involvement.
Her experience includes hospital staff nursing, hospital
nursing supervision, private practice nursing and office
management. Her areas of specialization include geriatrics,
oncology, cardiac, intensive care and experience with the
terminally ill. Most recently Ms. Kane has been involved
in elder care nursing programs. Ms. Kanes role in
community volunteer services has heightened her awareness
of the needs and concerns of families confronting the complexities
of caring for loved ones. As one of the first nurses to
join Support Systers, Ms. Kane has demonstrated the value
of the service to various health care providers and social
workers within the Hunterdon Medical Center health care
system. She is a graduate of Molloy University in New York
and is a licensed RN, BSN in New Jersey. She plays an active
role in the client acquisition process.
